For a seller, the typical commission paid for listing & selling a home is 6% of the sales price, which is deducted from proceeds at closing. This amount is divided evenly between the seller's agent and the buyer's agent, with each agent receiving a 3% commission. With the "buy a new home and we'll list your home for free" promotion, the Raymor Team agrees to forego the 3% commission for the listing side of the transaction. The seller is still expected to pay the 3% commission to the buyer's agent for the sale.
